Some fans believe they’ve seen or filmed someone who looks very much like MJ performing moonwalks, wearing similar clothes, etc. These are often from social media (TikTok, Instagram, etc.)
There are videos allegedly showing a person with MJ’s build being escorted out of a van (said to be a coroner’s or medical transport van) after the official news of his death — possibly to suggest his death was faked or the body wasn’t what people saw. One version was supposedly made as a “social experiment.Fans sometimes point to things said by MJ before his death, or things Paris Jackson or other family members have hinted at, or statements in songs or appearances, as clues. For example, he was alleged to have said “they are trying to kill me” in some contexts.
Paris (his daughter) has at times expressed suspicion or belief that her father’s death was not an accident (though that does not necessarily equal believing he is alive). Some theorists argue that MJ might’ve staged his death to escape pressures (media, legal, financial) or danger. Possibly to live more privately
Michael Jackson died on 25 June 2009 in Los Angeles; the cause of death was ruled homicide, due to acute propofol intoxication. His personal physician, Conrad Murray, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter. There are no credible official or medical documents that support the idea that he survived past that point. His death certificate, medical examiner’s reports etc. are part of the public record.

Many “sightings” are of lookalikes, impersonators, or people dressed similarly — but resemblance is not proof.
-
Some videos are hoaxes or manipulated. For example, one “van video” was reportedly created by RTL (a German broadcaster) as a social test to show how easily people spread false content.
-
Hidden message claims are vague, often unverified, and subject to interpretation (confirmation bias).
-
Legal, medical, and forensic evidence is overwhelming in favor of his death.
While the official cause of death was ruled as acute propofol intoxication and the death ruled a homicide, some people point out they believe there were suspicious circumstances (who supplied the drugs, whether the environment in which they were given was appropriate, etc.). Paris Jackson suggests that it wasn’t simply negligence. The wrongful death suit filed by Jackson’s family (including Paris) against the promoter AEG Live is also cited by some as evidence that there was more behind his death than just the doctor’s involvement. Paris has blamed AEG Live somewhat.
